The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC is an American company that operates the luxury hotel chain known as The Ritz-Carlton. The company has 91 luxury hotels and resorts in 30 countries and territories. The Ritz Carlton hotel chain branches off their parent company Marriott International.

Project overview

The Ritz-Carlton provides a monthly subscription to "The Ritz-Carlton" magazine. The magazine contains traveler insight, destination guides, offers and much more. Client wanted to create a content hub which would compliment the magazine content. Razorfish lead the creative for this effort and the creative team worked closely with the client to come up with a solution that best suited their needs.

My Role

I conducted the role of creative director throughout the process — providing an elegant but functional web solution. Familiarizing with the existing brand was key to succesfully execute this creative effort. We were responsible for iterating on several design reccomendations for the client. We had the opportunity to own the creative process through the entirety of the project.

The Journey website would serve as a content hub and provide traveler insight to prospect Marriott members.

The main hub would branch off to several landing pages based on interests; such as food & drinks, travel, weddings, fashion and more.

The team worked in a joint effort with developers and client to translate the desktop experience to tablet and mobile breakpoints. We worked in parallel with desktop and mobile designs to lock down a modular approach. The layout for desktop designs would seamlesless transition from desktop, tablet and mobile platforms.
